If you are feeling brave, and don't mind the various caveats, you can get a Google build of Chrome for OSX from http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=mac. I find it fast, right up until it crashes.
So far, and I've been running it over a month, I've never had a crash notification, it just disappears.
